Hill Top Roofing crew tearing a brick estate roof down to the deck

A new roof, torn off and rebuilt in a day

When repairs stop making sense, we tear off to the deck and rebuild with GAF materials. Most homes go from first shingle off to final magnet sweep before dinner.

What’s included

Everything in a replacement, in plain terms

A replacement quote from us covers the whole job, not a base price with surprises stapled on later. If a line item is not on this list, ask us why.

    Tear-off & deck

    01
    • Full tear-off to the deck

Every old shingle and layer of felt comes off. We never shingle over an old roof.

    • Deck inspection and re-decking

Soft or rotten decking gets replaced before anything goes back on. You see photos of what we found.

  2. Roofer unrolling synthetic underlayment over plywood

    Water barrier

    02
    • New underlayment and flashing

Synthetic underlayment across the deck, new drip edge, and fresh flashing at every wall and penetration.

  3. Roofer installing a ridge vent

    Shingles & vents

    03
    • GAF architectural shingles

Installed to spec by the crews our certification depends on. You pick the color, we bring samples.

    • Ridge venting

Proper attic airflow so the new roof lasts as long as the warranty says it should.

  4. Debris trailer in the driveway of a finished two-story home

    Cleanup

    04
    • Haul-away and magnet sweep

Debris leaves in our trailer the same day. We run magnets through the yard so your tires and feet never find a nail.

    • Walkthrough and paperwork

A final walk around the house with you, then the warranty registration in your name.

How it works

From inspection to finished roof

Four steps, no pressure at any of them. The estimate is yours to shop around.

  1. Step 1 of 4

    Free inspection

We get on the roof, document what we find with photos, and tell you straight whether you need a replacement or just a repair.

  2. Step 2 of 4

    Estimate in writing

A real number on paper, broken out by line item. No "starting at" games, no expiring same-day discounts.

  3. Step 3 of 4

    Install day

The crew shows up early, tears off, re-decks where needed, and shingles. Most homes are done in one day, larger or steeper roofs in two.

  4. Step 4 of 4

    Walkthrough and warranty

We walk the property with you, sweep for nails, and register your warranty before the trailer leaves the driveway.

Roof Replacement

Do I actually need a full replacement?

Maybe not. Roughly a third of the inspections we run end with a repair recommendation, not a replacement. If the decking is sound and the damage is local, we will say so and quote the smaller job. The free inspection exists so you can find out without committing to anything.

What does a replacement cost in metro Atlanta?

Most of the homes we replace land between $9,000 and $18,000, depending on size, pitch and material. We put the exact number in writing after a free inspection, and the estimate is yours to shop around.

What happens if it rains mid-job?

Your deck is never left exposed. We stage tear-off so only what can be dried-in the same day comes off, and every job carries tarps and synthetic underlayment on site. A surprise storm gets covered in minutes, not hours.

Will insurance pay for my new roof?

If the damage came from hail, wind or a fallen tree, very often yes. We document the damage, help you file, and meet your adjuster on the roof. See our storm damage and insurance page for how that works, or just call and ask.
